Review. Patrick Lencioni "Five vices of the team"

It should be noted that this book came into my hands precisely when I was not averse to turning to someone else's experience: I had to make several important decisions related specifically to teamwork. Therefore, I gladly "swallowed" this book. In order not to torment you, I will say right away — I liked her. Well, to find out what — go further.

The advantages of the book I consider the following:

• its length: less than two hundred pages, including official ones — this is no more than a couple of days, if you are interested.
• the "artistry" of the presentation does not let you get bored, as it sometimes happens when the book is full of instructions.
• the structuring of the main idea, the presence of its graphical representation.
• the absence of attempts to embrace the immensity, the concentration is on the idea stated for discussion.

Cons? There is, of course:

the same artistry creates a sense of fiction (although, having decent experience, I can say that the book does not lie).
• style. There are indigestible suggestions, but I'm just a reader, not a proofreader, maybe I just won't like it.

Conclusion: the book is worth the time you spend on it. You, especially if you have worked with teams for a long time, probably won't learn anything surprising, but the structuring and schematics of the characters described in the book will help you change your view of the current state of your own team.
