At the end of October, Samsung released a stable version of One UI 6 based on Android 14 for Galaxy S23 series smartphones. At the same time, the description of the new features of the Enhance-X application revealed which devices will receive this feature and One UI 6. Unexpected in this list were the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 lines — smartphones of 2020, which have already received 3 guaranteed Android version updates.
It seems that their inclusion was just a mistake: after a couple of days, the article One UI 6 Update: 7 Tips for Making the Most of AI Camera on your Galaxy / Samsung Newsroom the press releases section has been updated, and the mention of the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 has disappeared from it. Three folding smartphones were also removed: the Galaxy Z Fold of the first and second generations and the first Z Flip in LTE and 5G versions. Thus, the current list looks like this:
It is important to note that this is not a complete list of devices for which One UI 6 will be released: these are only smartphones that will receive the update and new Enhance-X features. In addition to these models, the update is almost guaranteed to be released for the F23, M23 and A52s — a beta firmware version is actively being tested for them, and if there are no performance problems, they should get a stable firmware version.
Earlier, a list of Samsung smartphones that will not receive One UI 6 appeared on the Network. It was compiled based on the official terms of support for Samsung devices, so the chance of an update release remains, but extremely low.
