Yesterday, the fourth version of one of the best programs for working with email was released. Thanks to templates, an advanced macro system and powerful filters, The Bat! significantly increases the efficiency of work.
In the new version, the developers have changed the interface, added Unicode support to the MicroEd editor (finally!). In addition, favorite folders and address history have appeared (it allows you to track letters for each of the correspondents), the speed of the program has increased.
However, in general, it seemed to me that many users were not too happy with the release. There are complaints about the fact that The Bat! by default, it installs additional software from Yandex (personal search from Yandex), and also sets it as the home page yandex.ru . In the comments in Alex Exler's magazine, it is noted that usually, if all sorts of toolbars are installed, then the program itself is distributed for free.
But, probably, the biggest disappointment that users were waiting for was still the interface. Some believed that version 4 would look like it was conceived in the Design Bureau of Artem Gorbunov. Here is a screenshot (click to enlarge):
Alas, however, this is not the case.
