Looking for a good employer (with the help of the Network)

We already know that employers abroad often use the Internet to search for information about applicants, and also study candidates' profiles on social networks for this purpose. This process has also begun in Russia. But, as it turned out, there was also a counter trend — employees are studying potential employers.

In Runet, there are three tools for studying employers so far.

First, you should pay attention to the service JobOpinion.ru . Its users compose reviews about their former and current employers. Which is especially pleasing, while all the information is extremely specific. People often write about the extent to which firms comply with the Labor Code, whether they give administrative leave, whether they put obstacles in going on sick leave, etc.

Our second tool is the social network of professional contacts "My circle". Here the most important feature for us is job search. The site displays if a particular person is looking for a job. Therefore, all that remains for us is to search for data about the company. Are there many of its employees looking for work? If yes, then there is a reason to think about the reasons.

Our third assistant is "Blog Search" from Yandex. Employees in their diaries voluntarily or unwittingly reveal the secrets of companies, complain about the management, write about the bad state of affairs. I don't know why this is happening, perhaps the fact is that they simply don't have an interlocutor, a "vest" to cry into. But the fact remains: in blogs about the company and its managers, you can find useful information. From the fresh one, I recall the case of a journalist of a federal newspaper who told about how the editorial policy is carried out. After that, she lost her job, and many journalists made conclusions for themselves where it is not worth working if principles are dear to you. :)
