WhatsApp messenger now has the ability to send photos of the original size, including HD-quality. Previously, they were transmitted as files and even in this case sometimes lost clarity.
Now users can send pictures without using a file and fully preserve their original quality. By default, the messenger will compress them as before, and to send them in their original form, you need to select the HD-quality option at the top of the screen. In such cases, photos are marked "HD" in the chat.
So far, the new option is available only in the beta versions of WhatsApp 23.11.0.76 for iOS and 2.23.12.13 for Android. It should become publicly available in the coming weeks.
