GPD has introduced an updated version of Win Max 2 — with AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor

The Chinese company GPD introduced GPD Unveils Upgraded Win Max 2 Handheld, Featuring AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU at 15W / WccfTech an updated version of your laptop computer Win Max 2. He received an 8-core and 16-thread AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor.

The latest chip provides improved quality of work with AI, which is responsible for the XDNA engine. But in terms of gaming performance, it is almost identical to the Ryzen 7 7840U, which is very similar. The pocket laptop also has an increased amount of internal memory – up to 32 GB.

The design remains the same: it is still the same hybrid with elements of both a laptop and a traditional portable device. The Win Max 2 has a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a small attachable keyboard with a built-in gamepad.

Other characteristics of the updated version have not yet been disclosed. There is no information about the cost, as well as the timing of the release.

GPD is not the first manufacturer to integrate the latest APUs into their pocket computers. Ayaneo has also already announced the Ayaneo Flip based on the Ryzen 7 8840U.
