Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Spinning Bike Self-Generating Edition, a version of its exercise bike that also works as an electric generator.
Due to the built—in generator with a power of 50 watts, the user will provide energy not only to the simulator itself, but also to a stand for wireless charging of a smartphone or tablet - it outputs power up to 20 watts. There is also a USB-C connector for charging gadgets by wire. To charge a smartphone, it is enough to maintain a cadence of at least 60 revolutions per minute — this is an indicator of a gentle workout that will suit even beginners.
Thanks to the generation of energy, the device was made wireless: it can be placed on the balcony without worrying about charging. The simulator occupies an area of 89.5 × 51.5 cm and weighs 39.5 kg.
As for the training part, the novelty offers 32 speeds with a quick switch by turning the handle. During operation, the display displays the current indicators: cadence and total training time.
It is claimed that the simulator works almost silently: you can train even when someone is sleeping in the next room. The gears are hidden in the case, which makes the gadget safe for homes with children and animals.
Xiaomi Mijia Spinning Bike Self-Generating Edition was estimated at 1999 yuan (≈22,800 rubles). It will go on sale on June 14, but from May 31 it will be possible to pre-order it on Chinese crowdfunding Xiaomi Youpin with a discount of 200 yuan.
