Honor announced a couple of new smartphones from the category of subflagmans (or mid-range flagships): in most characteristics they correspond to top-end devices, but compromises in simpler chips and other aspects allowed to keep the price tag more democratic.
Among themselves, Honor 90 and 90 Pro differ in processors, cameras and charging. The displays are identical: This is a 6.7-inch curved OLED with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Smartphones stand out with support for PWM dimming up to 3840 Hz — this is a record value. To reduce the strain on vision, Dynamic Dimming is used with the simulation of natural light, there is also a night mode that reduces blue light.
Honor 90 received a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, an upgrade compared to Snapdragon 782G in Honor 80. But Honor 90 Pro retained the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which was used in Honor 80 Pro.
Both new items received a 200 MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor that connects 16 pixels in 1, as well as a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The base model has a third model — a 2 MP depth sensor, while the Pro model uses a 32 MP TV speaker. The front-facing cameras in both cases have a resolution of 50 MP, but the Honor 90 Pro is complemented by a second 2 MP sensor.
A 5,000 mAh battery is responsible for the autonomy in both cases. Honor 90 supports 66W fast charging, and Honor 90 Pro supports up to 90W.
The Honor 90 line will be available in black, green, silver and rainbow blue colors. The start of sales in China will take place on June 7, the prices are as follows:
