Motivation is the key to everything. My motivation is to keep in sync with my friends' routine. Because otherwise, I'm off on a 28-hour day and just disappear from the lives of these people. When this happens, I spend a lot of time in "vampire mode" — sleep during the day and work at night. Sometimes there's nothing to worry about if you just want to do the job and other people don't bother you. Your motivation is likely to be different.
You need to prepare before going to bed.
Every successful action is preceded by preparation. In this case, I need a certain length of sleep (8 hours), which means that I need to fall asleep at a specific time.
You need to learn how to interrupt a sweet dream.
Going to bed on time is still half the battle. Now you need to learn how to get up! If you can't force yourself to wake up, then you'll need a good reason to do so –otherwise you'll just fall asleep again.
You need to learn how to get rid of drowsiness.
Several times I woke up with an alarm clock, got out of bed, took a shower and was about to go to work, not yet realizing that I was actually still asleep.
Work on creating a habit for two to three weeks.
Two weeks is the minimum time it will take to develop a habit, although I worked for three weeks to create this habit.
