iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and watchOS 10 will be released on September 18, and macOS Sonoma — a week later

After the first autumn presentation, Apple announced the date of the final release of the iOS 17 operating systems for iPhone, iPadOS 17 for iPad and watchOS 10 for Apple Watch — they will begin to arrive on devices on September 18.

From this day on, you can check for updates manually in the gadget settings → "Basic" → "Software Update".

You can upgrade to iOS 17:

• the iPhone 14 line;
• the iPhone 13 line;
• the iPhone 12 line;
• the iPhone 11 line;
• iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR;
• iPhone SE (2020 and 2022).

The new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will work on iOS 17 out of the box.

Among the iPad tablets, iPadOS 17 can be obtained:

• iPad Pro (from the 2nd generation);
• iPad Air (from the 3rd generation);
• iPad (from the 6th generation);
• iPad mini (from the 5th generation).

The latest version of watchOS 10 can be installed on the following watches:

• Apple Watch Ultra;
• Apple Watch Series 8;
• Apple Watch Series 7;
• Apple Watch Series 6;
• Apple Watch SE;
• Apple Watch Series 5.

Presented on September 12, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 will be shipped immediately with watchOS 10.

macOS 14 Sonoma, which received desktop widgets and a game mode, will be delayed for a week and will be released only on September 26.
