The frequency of the procedure depends on how often you use the device. On average, the external cleaning of the remote control should be carried out once every 1-2 weeks.
1. Moisten a cotton pad with an alcohol-containing liquid, squeeze it out properly and thoroughly wipe the TV remote control from all sides. Change the cotton wool as it gets dirty.
2. Clean the space between the buttons with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
3. To remove dirt from hard-to-reach places like the slots around the buttons, use a toothpick.
4. Wipe the device with a dry cloth.
To do this, you will have to disassemble the device. You shouldn't do this too often. Usually, the procedure is carried out when malfunctions occur, for example, individual buttons stop working.
1. Remove the cover of the special compartment and remove the batteries from the remote control.
2. In some models, there are screws under the batteries that hold the structure together. If there are any, unscrew them with a suitable screwdriver and put them in a small container so as not to lose them.
3. Most modern remotes are held on latches. Disassemble the structure with a knife blade or plastic card, carefully inserting the tool into the junction of the front and back covers. Slowly move around the perimeter of the console, making light tapping movements.
4. Carefully remove the button tab from the plastic panel.
5. Moisten a cotton swab in an alcohol-containing liquid and thoroughly clean all concave and convex fragments of the button tab on both sides. As you get dirty, change the sticks to new ones.
6. Wipe the board with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol or cologne, and thoroughly clean the front plastic panel from both sides.
7. Wait until all the parts are completely dry and assemble the TV remote control.
