Progress is moving forward, but the life hacks for cleaning, which were used by our grandmothers, remain the simplest and most economical. Imagine: to clean the floor, walls, dishes, clothes and much more, you only need soda, salt, lemon and vinegar. Well, and a couple more ingredients that are easy to find in the store or ... in the trash.
It can be quite difficult to rinse the inner surface of bottles. In order to do this, pour 1-2 teaspoons of sand inside and fill it with water. Shake it well. After that, pour out the liquid and thoroughly wash the bottle. Grains of sand, like a scrub, will clean the surface of excess particles.
The method is similar to the previous one and is suitable if there is no sand at hand. Put the crushed eggshells in a bottle and pour it with 2-3 teaspoons of vinegar. Leave for a couple of hours, and then rinse and dry the container.
This trick is pure magic outside of Hogwarts. Cover the bottom of the glass bowl with foil, pour warm water into it and throw a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of soda.
Then put silverware or jewelry in there and watch how a simple chemical process removes the plaque! After cleaning, gently rinse the dishes with water and polish them with a soft cloth.
Lemon is a natural cleaner and deodorant. It dissolves fat, leaving behind a pleasant aroma. To refresh a wooden cutting board, cut the citrus in half and rub it with it. Leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse and pat dry.
If the smell still remains, clean the surface with a damp cloth soaked in vinegar or soda solution, then rinse. This method is also suitable for plastic boards.
Soda will help eliminate the odors coming from it. Sprinkle it on the pile and leave it overnight. In the morning, after vacuuming the carpet, you will find that it smells fresh again. This method can be used both locally and over the entire area of the product.
This product will help to get rid of the traces of uncleanness of your pet. Mix ½ cup vinegar and ½ cup warm water. Blot the sponge with this mixture and wipe the place on the carpet.
A dustpan and a broom help to collect large fragments. But getting rid of tiny pieces that are invisible to the eye is unlikely to work this way.
American blogger Laura Marney suggests using children's plasticine or dough for modeling. Mash a piece, attach it to the surface on which the glass broke, and all the tiny fragments will stick to it.
Instead of buying a cleaner for glasses and mirrors, you can easily make your own using four simple ingredients. You will need: 1 cup of water, ½ cup of vinegar, ½ cup of medical alcohol and 5 drops of lemon oil.
Mix it all in a spray bottle and shake it slightly. The cleaner is ready! But be careful: its vapors are dangerous to inhale, so cover your nose and mouth with a mask.
With some spots, it can really work! These include, for example: cream, cheese, chocolate, jelly, mustard, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, milk, syrup, urine, blood, water-based paints and ink (fresh only).
Put an old towel under the stain, and then start rubbing the contaminated area with a cold sponge or rag. Gently move the bottom layer of fabric so that there is always a clean place under the stain.
In this way, you can try to get rid of traces of dyes, herbs, lipstick, rust, fruits and berries, wine, beer and fat.
Fix the fabric with an elastic band around the cup so that the spot is in the center. Then pour on it from the kettle. But be careful: do not use hot water if you are not sure of the origin of the contamination.
Put the item in the freezer for a couple of hours. When the gum freezes, crumble it, shake it into the trash can, and send the product itself to the laundry.
Sprinkle the stain with salt and leave for a few hours. When it dries, throw the thing in the washing machine.
But remember that at some point spices and herbs can run out of steam — it all depends on the specific ingredients included in the composition. Cinnamon sticks, cloves, lemon zest, thyme, lavender, pine needles and rosemary are best suited here.
To remove the dirt accumulated in the washing machine, mix a few tablespoons of soda with water to a paste-like consistency and clean the drum, plastic rim and powder loading box with this mixture. Then rinse with water, and voila! — the device is ready to work again.
Ceiling fans quickly collect dust, and then scatter its particles around the room. Put the open end of the pillowcase on the blade and wipe it, keeping all the dust inside.
This is one of the most economical and convenient ways to get rid of scale. It is suitable for both electric and enameled teapot.
Mix 1 liter of water with 1-2 tablespoons of acid or lemon quarter juice. Then fill the kettle with this mixture, bring the water to a boil, let it cool and pour it out. Rinse a couple of times.
Baking soda is a natural deodorant. It can prevent the appearance of unpleasant odors. Place the open box closer to the back of the refrigerator and don't forget to change it every three months to keep the air inside fresh and clean.
Pour a mug of vinegar into a plastic bag, secure it around the nozzle with an elastic band — so that the watering can is immersed in the liquid. Leave it on for a few hours. Then drain the vinegar and remove any remaining dirt with an old toothbrush.
