Bookmarklets, of course, do not compare in functionality with extensions for Firefox, but to some extent they are able to replace some of them. In addition, bookmarklets are good because they are also suitable for other browsers. Let's go through some of these smart bookmarks.
(Be careful, not all links here are in bookmarklet format, some lead to their home page)
Navigation
- OpenAll (IE, Firefox) loads all links found in the highlighted text. For avid surfers.
- Target Alert (IE, Opera) places icons next to links that signal if they open in a new window, lead to another site, an audio or video clip, or a pdf document. For suspicious.
- Rewrite All — Google — turns all regular links into links to the Google cache (by clicking on it, you can now see how it was preserved during the last crawl of the search spider). For conservatives.
Web forms
- View password — will show numbers and letters in the password input field instead of asterisks. Now I will probably stop using the "remember password" checkbox on different sites. It weans us from credulity.
- FormTextResizer — increases and decreases webform fields. Now also for the talkative!
- Anonymous Form Filler — fills in the form fields with anonymous information. Great for spammers and paranoids!
Modification
- Edit Site — allows you to edit the content of the site — adds/removes images and text. Extremely useful for creating fakes!
- Click2Zap (IE, Opera) — removes elements from the site for subsequent page printing. Saves your printer ink!
Stuff
- MultiSubmit puts a page on several social networks (you can select them) at the same time. You just need to be logged in to these networks for everything to work. For poly-lovers!.
- Zap Read — load text into it or feed it a URL, and it shows you it at a given speed, one word at a time. Reading faster and faster!
- The All-In-One Video Bookmarklet saves videos from YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, etc. sites on the hard drive. Dedicated to all videomans!
- GmailThis Supercharged — keyboard bookmarklet allows you to send an email with the address of a good site to your friends.
