Today is an unusual day. More precisely, it is completely ordinary, but five years ago in 2007 on this day the blog was born Lifehacker.ru . Vladimir Yashnikov (@yashnikov), the first editor of this blog made the first entry and it started...
A lot has happened to the project in five years — we changed externally, changed course many times, expanded the list of topics, several dozen authors worked with us, he even changed the editor-in-chief at some point. The baby was developing and was very inquisitive.
We think a lot about the financial side of the blog as a product, because without monetization, it would not have lived for as many years as dozens of projects on a similar topic that no one will remember. We have become really big, even if we are only 5 years old — more than 1,000,000 people read us every month.
We are developing interesting products within this project — a comment system with a badge system that has no equal in simplicity, a system for paying for the work of authors that takes into account the reaction of readers to publications — with each "like" and "retweet" you "pay" an additional fee to the author of the article. And we have a lot of other things in the queue for implementation.
But most of all we are grateful to you, dear readers. What the blog has become would not have been possible without you, since everyone who reads us was led by the handle by one of you. We appreciate it. Thank you!
Today we invite you to ask any question about the work of the blog, its development and goals for the future. Do it in the comments to this post. Anyone who leaves a comment within three days anywhere on the blog (February 11-13 this year) will receive a rare badge, which we activated in honor of our birthday. Then this badge will be impossible to get ;)
Don't switch, it will be VERY interesting!
