The Legend of Zelda from Nintendo may become the next video game adaptation. Film critic Jeff Snyder told The Hot Mic podcast that Universal Pictures is already working on its adaptation.
I was told that Universal actually made a "big deal" with the Nintendo Corporation for the film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. It's all like the new Illumination-Nintendo franchise that we've all been expecting.
He is sure that Universal will spend "decent money" to create a film based on Zelda, since "Super Mario Brothers in cinema" managed to collect more than a billion dollars at the box office and become the highest-grossing video game adaptation in history.
The studio has not commented on this information yet.
The Legend of Zelda series includes 19 official action adventure games. They represent a fantasy world with a guy named Link in the title role.
