The author of the idea for "Black Mirror" Charlie Brooker told in an interview with Empire magazine how he tried to experiment with ChatGPT. However, nothing good came of it. He came to the conclusion that the technology of generative AI is only repeating after people, and not creating something of its own.
The first request I made was to generate an episode of "Black Mirror". He gave me a text that at first glance reads quite convincingly, but at the second it turns out to be shit.
He concluded that ChatGPT just looked through the synopses of all the episodes of the series, and then mixed them together, without giving out any original thoughts. He compared the result of the chatbot with the work of a parodist.
However, Brooker was still able to extract something useful from this experience. According to him, the generated texts have become an anti-example for him, which shows how it is impossible to write scripts.
The sixth season of "Black Mirror" will be released on Netflix on June 15.
