It's been a while since I tested audio players. The aTunes open source player has been in mind for several weeks, judging by the reviews, it is very good, functionally similar to iTunes.
Having tested it in work, I will say that the stories about it are nonsense, it does not resemble an Apple product at all, it looks more like ...
Amarok! This persistent feeling did not leave me all the time while I was playing with it. And the player is very interesting! As you can see from the screenshot, it does not suffer from misunderstandings with Russian tags, if they are written in the correct UTF encoding. In addition to just playing music, numerous formats of which are familiar to him immediately and without any codecs, the player is able to work with podcasts.
If we add to this the fact that aTunes is an excellent multimedia library in which work with lists and playlists is competently implemented, then the program undoubtedly deserves great praise (and I rarely praise programs). In addition to these joys, the program is able to integrate with Last.FM, listen to internet radio, grab discs, upload album covers, change colors,
play karaoke, make smart playlists,
automatically rename files and folders by tags.
The program is clearly worth testing: http://www.atunes.org /.
