And here is an atypical representative of the genre of turn-based strategies. Despite its non-obviousness, the rules of the game are simple and wonderfully formulated by the line of the manual: “united we stand, divided we don't stand so good".
At the very beginning of the game, a random map of countries is generated, each of which has a certain number of troops. Troops serve to capture adjacent territories, generally described by the rule "whoever has more soldiers wins." The player's goal is to capture and defend the most extensive territory consisting of neighboring countries. The meaning is very simple: at the end of the turn, reinforcements are issued according to the principle "the number of new soldiers = the maximum size of the cluster of adjacent countries". As a result, one of the primary tasks will be the separation of enemy armies in order to reduce access to reinforcements. Pyrrhic victories are not welcome, since almost every side has the opportunity to completely change the outcome of the battle in one move.
The combination of tactics and random factors makes the game especially attractive, because a seemingly flawless attack may well cost you half of the army, while a desperate attempt to break through the defense, on the contrary, will decide the outcome of the battle.
