Russian bloggers from the NN YouTube channel decided to set a record for the duration and distance of one taxi ride by going on a trip from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg. They made a film about this journey.
For the purity of the experiment, they called a taxi randomly, via Yandex Taxi. The first few drivers refused such a trip, but in the end, the authors of the video still found someone who agreed to take them across the country.
The conditions for the driver were simple: the whole trip was one fare trip, where any stops, including at the hotel for a nap, are counted as a paid wait. That is, the entire route and all the time on the way goes according to the service counter.
However, the bloggers did not take into account that the aggregator automatically limits the time of one order and the timing of one driver's work. As a result, the travelers decided to continue the trip without calling the car through the app.
The journey from one end of the country to the other cost them 600 thousand rubles. About 855 liters of gasoline were spent on the 10,000 km route. Along the way, the bloggers were met by viewers who followed the trip on social networks, as well as the press, who interviewed the driver.
The travel film turned out to be really interesting, it's not so much about the route and the cities, but about people and their values. The guys from NN are certainly lucky to have a driver who deserves to be the main character of this video.
