Our civilization is a civilization of constantly worried people. News channels are full of reasons to worry, but we are happy to buy and worry about things that are difficult to call having even the slightest relation to us.
Undoubtedly, people have always been worried, but before there were fewer reasons to worry simply because information had never been so accessible before. That's why we worry more and more. And this excitement makes our lives poorer. Therefore, we decided to remind you why worrying is stupid and unproductive.
- Nothing happens exactly as you imagined. When you worry, you try to anticipate the future. You know that everything will go wrong. But in fact, you often do not know at all how it will be. Why worry?
- To worry — means to give up. Some people have so ingrained their habit of worrying that they have absolutely no idea how they can live otherwise. This leads to a lack of energy and a desire to get ahead of events, acting for their own benefit.
- Excitement is completely unproductive. Why waste energy on something that doesn't lead you anywhere? Even monotonous work gives you the opportunity to practice, and excitement does not bring anything good.
- Excitement distorts reality. Now we live in a world where people live longer and longer, have the best medical care, can safely travel long distances, get a good education and have a bunch of ways to entertain themselves. Yes, there are risks in life, too, but excitement prevents you from seeing all the good things that can happen to you.
- Excitement is bad for your health. Excitement is not at all a normal state of your psyche, which leads to deterioration of your physical health. When you worry, your blood pressure rises, more acid is released in the stomach, muscles tighten, a headache appears and that's not all.
- The excitement is unnatural. Do children worry? Are the animals worried? And do all adults worry as much as you do? You don't have to worry at all, even if you have grown up and acquired responsibilities: excitement is a pathology, a deviation from the normal healthy state of our mind and body.
The most frequent instruction in the Bible is not at all "Love your neighbor", but "Do not be afraid".
