Why do you love Yandex? Is it hard to decide? The Russian Internet titan has penetrated into many areas of our life, offering several dozen search and information, entertainment and personal services. But for me, the Yandex wallet stands apart.Money».
Recently, Yandex has introduced new restrictions in its payment system, significantly reducing the rights of anonymous users. Many faced the forced need to undergo the procedure of identifying their identity. If for Russian citizens the process takes place according to a simplified scheme, then for foreigners everything looks a little more complicated.
In this article, I, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, will share my own experience of coming out of the shadows and tell you about some of the difficulties I had to meet during the identification process.
All the fuss started after the entry into force of federal laws "On the National Payment System" and "On countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from Crime and the financing of terrorism." As you can see, it is not necessary to blame the company itself for the inconvenience «Yandex » at all. Although there is no need to scold the authorities, nevertheless the state opposes the illegal circulation of funds. Therefore, the kick is directed not at peaceful people, but at the soft tissues of terrorists and black financial tycoons.
The restrictions were expressed in the limit of the amount and the geography of the payment. Anonymous users can spend only 15 thousand rubles at a time and only in Russian stores. That's where their rights end. Let's face it, nothing at all.
Identified users can pay checks for 100 thousand rubles (including in foreign stores), as well as transfer money to other accounts (or bank cards) and withdraw money from their wallet. Simply put, you can twist and turn any operations. Full «minced meat».
Therefore, the question is « To pass or not?» in principle, it is not necessary for an active user of a wallet from «Yandex ». Go ahead, for identification! How? Simple!
I will immediately note that checking your identity is a fairly simple event.
You need to:
Of course, it is worth taking care that the copy of the passport is well readable.
Just in case, let me remind you that a notary is not any person with a law degree and not a legal adviser to your company. Notary is a person specially authorized to perform notarial actions. He has a license for the right to carry out notarial activities and registers each of his actions in accordance with the legislation of the country of his registration.
Notary services cost money. In my case, the certification of a copy of the passport and the certification of the signature in the application were paid separately. In total, it came out about $ 20. The notary sewed the documents, sealed them and attached her contact details. What for? According to her, the security service of Yandex may well want to call the notary who certified the documents in order to verify his physical existence. Reasonable. Therefore, take the notary's business card and throw it into the mail — it will not be superfluous.
Do not skimp on the letter. Send documents with delivery, because there are legends about the Russian post. I don't want to check these stories on my money and time and send the papers again.
For citizens of a number of countries, there is one more condition: the stamp «Apostille » must be stamped on the certification. The list of countries-"lucky", as well as the shipping address can be found on the identification procedure information page.
In most of Russia it is summer now, therefore, the sleigh with mail is drawn to the addressee for a long time. «Yandex» warns that the transfer may take several weeks, after which the processing of the received data will begin. It can take up to 20 days.
I sent the documents in mid-May and there was silence until the end of June. Maybe it would have continued if I hadn't disturbed the Yandex support service.Money». I was curious if my documents had been received. To which I received an affirmative answer and a request to wait for the start of the verification procedure. And they also promised me that as soon as the first results appear, you will immediately know about it. «Cool! I thought. — Soon a letter or notification (SMS) will arrive on my smartphone, and I will be happy. Nah, that didn't happen.
Time passed, it was the middle of July. It's time to write letters again, even though they asked not to be disturbed in small things. They answered me. As it turned out, a button for confirming identification data is already hanging in my personal account. I don't know how long ago my documents were reviewed — immediately after the second appeal or earlier — but no one warned me about the need to confirm the data. This is not good. Plus, the button could be more expressive and intrusive or something. I would like her to declare herself at first sight.
We proceed to the data verification. I wonder how the information is processed in Yandex — manually or using software? Why am I doing this? My patronymic Viktorovich was recognized as Eduardovich. There are few similarities in these patronymics, as for me. But the fact is the fact. So I had to fill out a form about incorrect data. In confirmation of my correctness, I was also asked to send a passport photo. What for? Apparently, the internal structure does not allow you to transfer documents. Therefore, I strongly recommend paying attention to every letter and number from the information you provided. Mistakes happen.
That's the end of my ordeal. In the twenties of July, I managed to get the status of an identified user. Everything about everything took more than two months. I won't point at anyone. Maybe the mail is to blame; maybe Yandex is slowing down; maybe I was inattentive. And most likely, everything is a little bit.
In the final lines, I want to note the speed of the support service. I received answers to all my letters in a matter of hours or less.
I would very much like Yandex to let its users know about every step of the identification procedure: receipt of documents, the beginning and completion of the review, verification by the security service. This would be convenient for those who pay interest for money transfers out of their own pocket. Yet they are for us, not we for them.
Some of my friends did not bother at all and did not spend money. They found the passport data of Russians on the Internet and successfully leaked them to Yandex as citizens of Russia. Is it worth it to do so? It's up to you. But I would still not recommend it, especially if you are going to use a wallet when paying through foreign banks.
