Chinese Ayaneo introduced AYANEO NEXT LITE 掌机发售：首次预装 SteamOS，清库存 1699 元起 / IThome the new portable game console Next Lite. This is a budget model of the Next line, which is designed to "lower the entry threshold" for players.
The set-top box received sticks and triggers with Hall sensors, a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800p (above HD, but below FullHD) and a vibration motor (linear on the X axis). AMD processors are used here: Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7, depending on the modification. RAM — 16 GB LPDDR4X, built—in - 128 or 512 GB. The storage can be expanded: M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSDs up to 8 TB are supported.
The 47WH battery supports 60W fast charging. There are three USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connectors: two of them support charging, the third is used only for data transfer. There are also 3.5mm headphones, wireless interfaces — Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Out of the box, the console runs on SteamOS — as does the Steam Deck from Valve. But the versions on the consoles are not the same: Valve does not yet give access to the system officially, so they took as a basis AYANEO NEXT LITE handheld announced with SteamOS Linux / GamingOnLinux a custom SteamOS build called HoloISO and adapted for Next Lite. The system supports touch control and allows you to connect external controllers.
If desired, the user will be able to switch to Windows: Ayaneo promised to publish detailed instructions and drivers on the official website closer to the start of sales.
