The delicate taste and delicate creamy aroma make condensed milk an ideal topping for pancakes and waffles, and also an important ingredient for creams, ice cream and other desserts. In stores, you can stumble upon a product with a suspiciously long composition and not the best taste. If you want to get natural condensed milk, make it yourself. There are several simple ways to do this.

Just remember that 100 g of condensed milk contains Sweetened condensed milk — Nutrition Facts / Fitaudit 321 kcal and 54 g of sugar, so it is better to consume no more than 25-50 g of treats per day.

What you need to remember

  1. For homemade condensed milk, fresh whole milk without additives is best suited. It can be a rustic raw material or a store-bought product with a fat content of more than 2%. Powdered milk will also do, but then there will be much less useful properties in the delicacy.
  2. It is better to cook in a wide dish with a thick bottom.
  3. To prevent the milk from curdling, add a pinch of soda to it. It won't affect the taste.
  4. To make the finished condensed milk more tender and homogeneous, whisk it with a blender or whisk.
  5. To thicken the delicacy, put it in the refrigerator for several hours.
  6. The finished condensed milk is poured into sterilized jars and stored in the refrigerator.
