Yesterday we talked about how you can learn foreign languages using the Internet. Among other things, listening to podcasts was mentioned. On the same day, "Shopeta" (a blog about China, the Chinese language, culture and history of China, life in China) pleased with detailed instructions on how to use podcasting in learning Chinese.
Here I will tell you about another technique that I developed myself, according to my needs and capabilities. It gives very good results, because it trains almost all the “hypostases” of the language: speaking and hearing, writing and reading.
So let's get started. To successfully implement this technique, you need the following simple things: an mp3 player or a browser. The best option would be this configuration:
iPod + iTunes or any other mp3 player that supports podcasts. This is exactly how iTunes handles them — takes the rss description and attaches it to the podcast, and does not just upload “naked" mp3 files. This is done so that you can view the text (content) of the podcast at any time. Where can I get an iPod? You can simply buy it, or you can, as I did, win the international blog contest “The Best of Blogs".
The advice given by Ma Yuxi is universal and will be useful no matter what language you are learning. I highly recommend it.
