How to get a student visa to the UK without intermediaries and overpayments

Everyone knows that language courses in the UK are one of the most effective ways to improve your English and overcome the language barrier. And really, what could be better? Except for permanent residence in the country of the language being studied, but we are not considering this option yet.

Let's assume that you have decided to take short-term language courses. To do this, you need to choose a school and contact it directly or through a travel agency. From my point of view, the second option is a waste of money, because you will have to pay 10-15 thousand rubles for the agency's services, and the Russian–speaking school managers will help you prepare all the papers absolutely free of charge and will be in touch constantly. After choosing a course, you will need to pay for the training, and then the managers will send the documents necessary for obtaining a visa. And from that moment all the fun begins :)

Filling out the visa application form

The first step you need to do in order to get a visa is to fill out a questionnaire on the website www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk . Mentally tune in that you will have to spend the whole evening on this, as the British Embassy wants to find out as much information about you and your family as possible before giving (or not giving) you need a visa. By the way, the type of visa required for language courses is Student Visitor.

One of the trickiest parts of the questionnaire is work and finances. Try to indicate all types of income that you can document (scholarships, grants, salary, etc.), since insufficient funds to stay in the country during the courses are the most common reason for visa refusal. However, you should not fantasize either, because you will need to provide account statements and salary certificates. A good safety net would be if you specify as a sponsor someone from relatives, for example, parents.

Translation of documents

After filling out the application form, you need to choose a day to visit the visa application center. By this day, you need to prepare all the documents that confirm your income, certificates from the place of study / work, and documents from the sponsor. And, most importantly, they need to be FULLY TRANSLATED into English. The easiest way in this case is to contact a translation agency, and they will do all the work for you. But you can translate all the documents yourself without spending a penny. To do this, you do not need to be an English guru at all, because on the Internet you will find a million topics related to the translation of bank and legal documents.

Visit to the visa application center

The next step is to visit the visa application center on the appointed day to submit documents and submit biometric data (fingerprints and photos). Here, if necessary, you can order express delivery of the reviewed documents, as well as SMS notification of a change in the status of your application.

Then you have to wait for the result. Whether the coveted visa will be pasted into your passport depends on how seriously you take filling out the questionnaire and preparing the documents. But a little luck never hurts. And that's exactly what I wish you.
