How to stop constantly checking your e-mail

Each of you has been to meetings where people come and stare at laptops with a very worried look, although they came to talk to you. This is annoying, and also makes meetings unproductive and protracted. To your objections, such people will answer that they are waiting for a very important letter, and therefore they simply cannot tear themselves away from their laptops. It could be true.

Patrick Ron, an IT consultant, told the magazine Inc.com how does he solve the problem of urgent emails that need to be received even at a meeting with clients and partners, without spending the entire meeting on a laptop.

He uses Google for Domains mail for his company with the service AwayFind.com which does a very simple thing — it pushes letters to your phone (iPhone and Android are supported) from recipients whom you have designated as super important. I.e. if you are about to receive the latest build from the performers or a contract agreed by a lawyer, which it is urgent to forward it to the customer, then you will not miss this letter during the meeting. The rest of the emails will definitely wait 20-30 minutes.

This is how it will turn out: important emails are not missed, the person at the meeting with you will receive 100% concentrated attention, the meeting will be productive, ... and your laptop will take a break from you ;)
